Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons to Star in Geo-Political Thriller Series ‘Embassy’
A new television series created and written by Rom Lotan is set to go into production in February 2026, with filming taking place across London and Cologne. The project will be directed by John Strickland, known for his work on high-profile dramas such as Bodyguard, Line of Duty, and The Flight Attendant.
The series is being produced by Ascendant Fox and Turbine Studios, with financing handled by AGC Television — the production and distribution arm of AGC Studios. Executive producers include Lotan and Strickland alongside Hester Ruoff, Bart Ruspoli, Matt Mitchell, Daniel Hetzer, Jakob Neuhausser, Justin Thomson, David Tanner, Stuart Ford, Lourdes Diaz and Miguel A. Palos Jr.
Meanwhile, Anna Kendrick has several major projects lined up. She is set to star opposite Seth Rogen in the upcoming comedy Babies, written and directed by Lauren Miller Rogan, which begins filming in Los Angeles this November. Kendrick will also appear alongside Adam Driver and Daniel Kaluuya in Chris Rock’s untitled directorial debut for A24.
J.K. Simmons also has a busy slate ahead, with upcoming roles in The Westies, The Prince, Reykjavik, and Heart of the Beast.
